I bought three of MacMullen's Early Christianity books a while back, but only have read one, "Christianizing the Roman Empire". Very good, but dense.

"Voting About God" is in the "to be read" pile, along with "Christianity and Paganism in the Fourth to Eight Centuries".

Of course now I see he has published another, "The Second Church", which sounds intriguing as well.
