Blogging from an Ice Cream Store in Καλαμπάκι

Snatching a little time on the intertubes from an unsecured linksys router while sitting at an ice cream store that has fantastic sweets. Over my left shoulder rises the cliffs of Meteora here in northern Greece. The bottoms are lit by lights below, though the heights are obscured in darkness. Beautiful site. Will blog about today's adventures when I get home tomorrow. Never know when I'll lose my connection here.

So, are the Greeks wild about ice cream and sweets, or just Eric Sowell?

Congrats on the safe return.

OTOH, did Dan Wallace say 45 manuscript uploads? That sounds like a lot of work yet to be done.

Eric, will we get a final report on those last days of the expedition?

Chuck:

Thanks! Glad to be back. I missed a great number of things.

The town square had two ice cream shops, and at least one restaurant that advertised selling ice cream. What do you think?

Where did Dan say 45 manuscript uploads?

Tommy:

You certainly will. The travelling, jet lag (which normally doesn't affect me) and allergies have put me down for the count...but I think I'm actually functional again.

Eric:

Two ice cream shops, eh? I'm more a chocolate chip cookie man, myself.

I also look forward to a final report.

Yes, I see it now. He might be referring to the manuscripts from Benaki as well as the National History Museum, where I was at. That might make up that entire number since the Benaki had quite a few more manuscripts than the latter institution. And I'm looking forward to it too as I don't have copies of the Benaki mss :)
